Fort Flagler State Park lies at the north tip of the island and is just a five-mile drive from the Honey Moon Cabin. It offers walking trails through the woods and miles of beach for leisurely strolls. Mystery Bay State Park is nearby for boat moorage, and East Beach County Park is a public beach just 1¼ miles from the cabin, offering a wonderful beach to experience majestic views of Mount Baker, the Cascade Mountains and Mount Rainier.
In the center of this sleepy Island community is the nostalgic Nordland General Store where you can get anything from your morning latte to vintage toys. Kayaking, canoeing, beach combing, crabbing, clamming, fishing, hiking, biking, and kite flying are popular activities on the island.
The picturesque Victorian town of Port Townsend is only a 20 minute drive from Marrowstone Island, offering shopping, dining, parks, sailing, golf, fine arts and music. Explore the historical Fort Worden State Park with its bunkers, sandy beaches, and fine dining. Fort Worden is home to Centrum, a gathering place for year-round festivals and concerts.
Olympic National Park offers miles of shoreline, Hurricane Ridge with its alpine meadows crowned with glaciers, dense Rainforest valleys, and dozens of parks – all an easy day trip from the Honey Moon Cabin.
Port Angeles, gateway to Victoria, B.C., is an hour's drive by car; or a day trip to Seattle is only an hour's drive to the ferry. Jefferson International Airport is 20 minutes away.
